Calgary man reaches new heights to raise funds

A Calgary man is embarking on another big expedition to raise money for the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

Laval St. Germain will ski solo to the South Pole.

“So that’s starting at sea level and skiing to about 2,800 meters above sea level, which is the elevation of the South Pole, or 9,300 feet roughly. Then I’m going to fly back to the coast and close to the coast, not too far actually from where I start, I’m going to do a two-week expedition to climb Mount Vincent and that’s the highest mountain on the continent of Antarctica,” said St. Germain.
